Mrs. Katchko is a founding member and equity partner of Katchko, Vitiello & Karikomi, PC.
Mrs. Katchko was born in Kiev, Ukraine and first arrived in the United States at the age of 11. Prior to attending law school, she attended University of California Los Angeles for her undergraduate studies and completed a bachelor’s degree in Political Science, with honors. Mrs. Katchko attended the Pepperdine University School of Law where she received her juris doctorate. She is admitted to practice before all courts in the state of California.
Mrs. Katchko focuses her practice on corporate law, licensing, and regulatory compliance with a heavy focus on Southern California’s commercial cannabis industry. Mrs. Katchko is known as a powerhouse within the cannabis industry and has represented medical cannabis clients in the City of Los Angeles since 2009. With over nine years of experience in the field, Mrs. Katchko has become one the industry’s most recognized names. Her efforts are now dedicated to transitioning her clients to the new regulated and licensed framework. Backed by eight years of dedicated cannabis experience, Mrs. Katchko is able to represent all cannabis related businesses includes medical marijuana dispensaries, cultivators, manufacturers, distributors, and investors.
Mrs. Katchko’s experience includes involvement in shaping the Medicinal and Adult Use cannabis regulations in both the City of Los Angeles and the State of California through pro bono affiliations, local alliances and town halls. She has developed significant experience in local government matters by being an integral part of discussions with officials on the ever-changing cannabis regulatory landscape and by working closely with lobbyists to advocate on behalf of her clients. Mrs. Katchko also serves as affiliated counsel to the United Cannabis Business Association (UCBA). Mrs. Katchko’s representation of commercial cannabis businesses includes representation in general corporate formation and compliance, corporate conversion, licensing and regulatory compliance, and transactional matters, among others.
Prior to founding the firm, Mrs. Katchko worked as a litigator and honed argumentative and writing skills in the courtroom. Mrs. Katchko applies that skillset to her current practice today by standing for the rights of the individuals and entities she represents in the emerging cannabis industry.
