Congratulations to Yelena Katchko and Capalino+Company for a fantastic and informative cannabis summit held on October 16, 2018!

Capalino+Company brought together policymakers, thought-leaders and industry experts to discuss New York’s path forward toward developing a sustainable cannabis market.  As part of the event, Katchko, Vitiello & Karikomi, PC (“KVK”) founder Yelena Katchko sat on a panel which  discussed cannabis economies from outside jurisdictions.

Mrs. Katchko sat with other industry leaders including David Phillips of Navigator Ltd, Scott Rudder of the New Jersey CannaBusiness Association, and Will Stewart of Lift & Co.  The panel was convened to give New York policymakers, potential cannabis business owners, attorneys, and other interested parties much-needed insight as New York considers a regulated cannabis marketplace.

The panel considered the following questions:  What can New York learn from other regulated markets? How does New York create sound policy and regulation for licensing and permitting, compliance and enforcement, land use and zoning, and tax assessments and expenditures, among other questions posed by the moderator and guests in attendance.

From all of us at KVK, thank you Capalino+Company!
